WICKED! I Went! I Saw! I Loved It!!!

After patiently waiting and scrambling for decent tickets I finally got to see Wicked. It was a wonder in itself. The music, the actors, the message,it was all powerful.

This prequel to the Wizard of Oz is about Elphaba before she became the wicked witch of the west. It goes to show you you can't believe everything you hear. This tortured soul tries to find herself at a boarding school where she meets Galinda and they strike up an unusually unlikely friendship. Together they meet the Wonderful Wizard of Oz in all his "splendor".

I don't want to give away to much but this is a deffinte must see. And if you have already seen it go see it again. I had a literal high after seeing this.

The emotion was so deep and true and to you typical teens you are either a Galinda or an Elpheba or if you're a guy a Bach or Fiero. And don't get me started on Fiyero. All I can tell u is I'm in love.

Seeing this gave me an idea. If you didn't know I want to be famous and seeing Wicked only made the need stronger. So I thought maybe I would make videos of my journey. Just me doing crazy things auditions and everyday life.... What do you think.

As always comment. Just another typical teenage day.

The Help

A story set in the wake of the civil rights movement about Skeeter Phelan a writter surrounded by passive aggresive, cruel, racist women. Skeeter wants to write a story from the perspective of the help. At this time only a few generations after slavery black men and weman worked for horrible pay and unfair working conditions. Seeing this Skeeter becomes inspired not just by their story but by her own experience with her maid.

The black women in this story clean the house, cook the food, and raise the children but they are not allowed to use the bathroom in the house.  To speak out against this could mean their death. But two brave women Abileen Clark (Viola Davis) and Minny Jackson (Octavia Spencer) tell there story. After many obstacles the book is finaly published and becomes the base of gossip in Jackson Mississippi.

Even using fake names and an anonymous author these women are not safe from the scorn of the local bridge club.

This movie will show you the other side to racism and shatter alot of misconception. Heart warming and tear jerking this movie is a must see for all, white, black, red, and yellow

Something New

I'm going to try something different this year. I am going to review movies and video games specifically. I think this will be easier for me to keep up with and to sustain. I will always welcome anyone who has anything else in this  world to review but as for me I am going to stick to films and games and maybe the occasional TV show.

No More Oprah

Goodbye Oprah. You have inspired so many with your show and with the Color Purple. You have reached so many and will continue to reach people with your new network. Oprah you have helped the abused mislead and hurt through really tough times. And you have inspired millions to be better people. By letting your light shine you have given others the permission to do the same.

I loved your farewell. My favorite part was when you said "I'm talkin about the God you think I'm talkin about." This week you had everyone in tears as they said goodbye to Oprah Winfrey. Good luck to you and thank you. I hope to be at least a fraction to others what you have been to the world

Reviews

GLEE was awesome I loved the funeral. I loved Sue's sister, she was so sweet and kind. She was like Sue's conscience. Kurt and Finn did a great job arranging the funeral. The movie of Sue and her sister was my favorite part and the song too. I ended up singing that son the rest of the night. But Jessie is getting on my nerves. "Jessie StJames Jessie StSucks" Mercedes was amazing, she sung from her heart and soul and brought down the house, he had no right to say she was lazy. And what about the choreography, are you serious choreography. I think Jessie is just manipulating Rachel's feelings to ensure that he has a job. And then Finn broke up with Quinn and came with a flower. Awwww was all I could say. He is a little late but better late than never.

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON is a great movie. I looked at it for the second time yesterday. I fell in love with it all over again. Toothless is so cute. The movie was all about changing and being true to yourself. I was so surprised when I found out that America Ferrera played Astrid. And the vicking leader was Gerard Butler, that was so fitting. All of the voices seemed to fit. Hiccup was a hilarios character. "You just gestured to all of me" that was the line in that movie. Toothless was an amazing friend/pet and a great teacher for hiccup. Just goes to show you not everything is as it seems.

GREYS ANATOMY and PRIVATE PRACTICE are coming on tomorrow. Mark looks great with his new baby, but he seriously needs to figure out if he wants Lexi of not and Lexi needs figure out if she wants to be with Avery or not. But Yang is going overboard with her so called "teaching her self" plan. And Alex completely blew the case wide open. He ruined Meredith's chance of getting the baby and probably ruined her career and maybe her marriage. The sad thing is that Derek and Meredith only got legally married last episode. Now for private practice. Sam is getting on my last nerves and thats all I can say.

End of the School Year

Congratulations to all of the high school and college graduates this year and congratulations to the kids that worked their butt of to make it through the year. I know it was a tough year for me so I think everyone deserves a thumbs up. You guys did good. And good luck to those going to college next fall and good luck to those moving into the corporate world.

On another topic, I just heard about this new end of the world date May 21, 2011. What happened to 2012, not that I believed in that either but seriously God said you will not know the day nor the hour in which the Lord cometh. And the thing is that the guy that came up with this date also said the world would end in 1994. Things like this have happened in history before and people were left homeless and jobless and family-less waiting for the end to come. One thing I know is that I love the Lord and no matter what day he comes on I know I'm going back with him.

Whats up with the music

what is going on with Lady GaGa her music is going down hill the Judas song is just plain scary and on the edge of glory isnt all that great either. i love her as an artist but she should go back to her old style

the best song right now is The Script These Times are hard

From Mama to mommy to mom to ma to name

We all grow and change, its apart of life. even old people change. parents change the way raise kids. and kids definaitly change. we get older start to get more independent we dont like taking orders. there are a thousand things changing in our bodies and all we can do is except it and keep going. the problems come when we do not except change or try to go against the "changing order"

"Mama"
"Oh my goodness he said my name. awww thats my baby i love you so much"
"I wish he would stay like this"
"Yea me too"
~

"Mommy wheres my sweater?"
"i've got it right here, here lift your arms. So are you ready for your first day of school"
"Yea"
"do you have your lunch"
"Yea"
"did you brush your teeth"
"yea
"Alright lets go''
"Mommy why are you crying"
"My baby is just growing up so fast
~

"Hey mom can we go to the mall"
"Did you finish your homework"
"Sort of"
"whats sort of?"
"Its almost done"
"Get it done then we'll go"
"aww come on mom, I'll get it dome later"
"Finish or we dont go"
~

"Ma I'm goin out"
"Where?"
"out"
"excuse me i asked where you were going"
"I'm goin out ma"
"No you're not goin anywhere"
"What why not"
"Because i said so thats why"
"Whatever I'm out"

Chance of a life time

O MY Goodness this is the best day ever. It finally arrived in the mail. the letter accepting me to be a photographer for Disney World. I am so excited I have got to tell my mom. I ran up the stairs and burst through her door. You'll never guess what just happened said Kita trying her best to be calm. "What" her mom said not even looking up from the computer in her lap. Disney Accepted me Kita squealed. "Honey thats great" her mom said interested now. "whats the pay" she asked eagerly. Kita handed he mother the letter and paced while she said "I get four free trips a year with four tickets a resort room with mini bar access and $1500 for every 100 pictures" Kita stopped and turned to her mom with a big grin. "this is amazing i am finally getting paid for what i love to do" kita sighed. Kita went to her moms out stretched arms and hugged her. They began talking about details and when would be the best time to go when Kita's phone rang. "its Derek" she told her mom. "ollo" she answered she loved Megamind. "Hey babe whats up" said Derek with a smile. Although she couldnt see it Kita knew it was there. "Nothin much just the greatest thing ever" she stopped mid-sentence. Looking up at her mom she thought for a minute. "Hey can i call you back". "Um sure" said Derek confused "are you alright" he asked. "Yea i just...... i'll call you back bye" she hung up. "what up wit that" said her mom trying to be cool. "Fail and should i tell him that i got the job"." why wouldnt you" said her mom confused. "Well what if i wanted to take him and Jina, he's really touchy about me doing things for him"."OOOOHHHHH i understand" said her mom with a nod

One of those Mornings

She woke up this morning in a rush. turns out staying up all night reading isnt always a good thing. "Hurry up Tina" yelled her mom as she got into the shower. Of course the water would be cold stupid brothers Tina thought. Taking less than five minutes in the shower Tina was running down the stairs fully clothed and ready to go with 6 minutes to spare. Tyler and Tyson were sitting at the island stuffing their faces full of eggs and turkey bacon. "Did anyone make me any" said tina a little annoyed. "Nope"said her brothers in unison. She snatched a piece of bacon from both their plates grinning as she bit into it. They starred at her cheeks bulging with food. "hurry up Chip and Dale" she teased. their mom came clacking down the stairs in her heels checking her watch. She was followed by dad in his dark jeans. He kissed all everyone said bye and walked out the door. The door opened again and everyone turned to see an embarrassed looking for his keys. Once he had them he said goodbye again and left. Laughing mom asked "has everyone eaten" while she shuffled trough her purse. Tyler,Tyson and Tina all stared at each other then turned back to their mother. After a long pause "excuse me you guys didnt hear m-" mom said being cut of by the sight of her children chewing with amused expressions. With a sarcastic laugh she snatched away Tina's bacon. "Hey" screamed Tina. Her mom gave her a look as if to say what now. Tina turned to Tyler who was snickering and gave him an icy look. He looked down at his empty plate trying to compose himself. Everyone took a few minutes to finish their food and get juice. "Oh ssshhhi- shoot " tyson corrected at the look from his mom "we're gonna be late". Tina checked her phone 8:25 "crap" she said grabbing her bag and the keys from her moms hand. She threw her bag in the back and cranked up the car. Taking a deep breathe of spring air she went back inside. The quite quality time breakfast had turned into a mad scramble. "Hey mom do you need this stuff" Tina said noting the presentation scrolls on the couch. "Yea babe thanks". Tina took the stuff to the car followed by the boys. all buckled in they waited for their mom. She came out locked the door and got ing the car. Faster than usual she backed out the drive way and headed for the kids high school. They pulled up to the school just as the first bell rang. "Have a good day guys"
"By mom" they all said as they walked through the doors. Then  Tyson stopped and looked at the cieling looking defeated. "We make it on time but we dont have lunch" said tyson. Not knowing what else to do they just laughed

have you ever had one of those mornings comment tell me about it. its a tiypical teenage day

My Response

I slammed my locker closed and ran down the half empty hallway. Bursting through the door to the stairs i went up two at a time. I was almost there just a couple more feet. "Stop running" yelled a teacher from behind me. I turned around and apologized "sorry it wont happen again". I walked backwards till he turned the corner then i turned and ran. It felt like i hit a brick wall. On the floor was my book folder and pencil and me. "Watch it b****" My head snapped up and i saw a cute guy that looked pissed. Wait did he just call me what i think he called me?

what would you have said? comment plz

escape to the pages

The lights in the library were still warming up the perfect time to get a book. It was early morning i had at least 45 minutes until the first bell rang so i had just enough time. As usual the library was quiet with the occasional whisper then the hash shush. The rain hit the window with a familiar pitter patter. I had found a book and was hiding in between the the low shelves of books from my friends sitting with my legs crossed the book in my lap. They usually wanted to walk the halls at this time and talk about whatever. but i didnt need that i needed to get lost in paper and ink. Last night had been a bad night, dad came home after a long night with the guys drunk as ever and mom didnt get home till an hour after that. They had a fight about leaving me and my brother alone for so long then they yelled at me for not having any food ready for them.  Its not that i didnt make any i just didnt want to leave it out i mean really it was midnight when my dad got home was i supposed to keep the food hot till then. I was glad my brother was sleep when all this was going on. I took a deep breathe trying to blow away the memory. i opened the worn cover and began to read forgetting time forgetting memory and thankfully forgetting myself.

Isnt cool to loose yourself in a book to forget all your problems and be totally focused on something else comment tell me if this has ever happened to you and what it was like

Welcome

this is a place for typical teenage stories some i have made up some that are true and some that come from you i hope that you enjoy them and take something away from them
