WICKED! I Went! I Saw! I Loved It!!!

After patiently waiting and scrambling for decent tickets I finally got to see Wicked. It was a wonder in itself. The music, the actors, the message,it was all powerful.

This prequel to the Wizard of Oz is about Elphaba before she became the wicked witch of the west. It goes to show you you can't believe everything you hear. This tortured soul tries to find herself at a boarding school where she meets Galinda and they strike up an unusually unlikely friendship. Together they meet the Wonderful Wizard of Oz in all his "splendor".

I don't want to give away to much but this is a deffinte must see. And if you have already seen it go see it again. I had a literal high after seeing this.

The emotion was so deep and true and to you typical teens you are either a Galinda or an Elpheba or if you're a guy a Bach or Fiero. And don't get me started on Fiyero. All I can tell u is I'm in love.

Seeing this gave me an idea. If you didn't know I want to be famous and seeing Wicked only made the need stronger. So I thought maybe I would make videos of my journey. Just me doing crazy things auditions and everyday life.... What do you think.

As always comment. Just another typical teenage day.

The Help

A story set in the wake of the civil rights movement about Skeeter Phelan a writter surrounded by passive aggresive, cruel, racist women. Skeeter wants to write a story from the perspective of the help. At this time only a few generations after slavery black men and weman worked for horrible pay and unfair working conditions. Seeing this Skeeter becomes inspired not just by their story but by her own experience with her maid.

The black women in this story clean the house, cook the food, and raise the children but they are not allowed to use the bathroom in the house.  To speak out against this could mean their death. But two brave women Abileen Clark (Viola Davis) and Minny Jackson (Octavia Spencer) tell there story. After many obstacles the book is finaly published and becomes the base of gossip in Jackson Mississippi.

Even using fake names and an anonymous author these women are not safe from the scorn of the local bridge club.

This movie will show you the other side to racism and shatter alot of misconception. Heart warming and tear jerking this movie is a must see for all, white, black, red, and yellow

Something New

I'm going to try something different this year. I am going to review movies and video games specifically. I think this will be easier for me to keep up with and to sustain. I will always welcome anyone who has anything else in this  world to review but as for me I am going to stick to films and games and maybe the occasional TV show.

No More Oprah

Goodbye Oprah. You have inspired so many with your show and with the Color Purple. You have reached so many and will continue to reach people with your new network. Oprah you have helped the abused mislead and hurt through really tough times. And you have inspired millions to be better people. By letting your light shine you have given others the permission to do the same.

I loved your farewell. My favorite part was when you said "I'm talkin about the God you think I'm talkin about." This week you had everyone in tears as they said goodbye to Oprah Winfrey. Good luck to you and thank you. I hope to be at least a fraction to others what you have been to the world
